Constructed largely from archival footage, the film brings into frame historical figures such as Patrice Lumumba, Andrée Blouin, Mobutu Sese Seko, Nikita Khrushchev, Dag Hammarskjöld, Dwight Eisenhower, Malcolm X, and Fidel Castro.
