| Abstract |
Climate diplomacy is the effort that countries, institutions, businesses, corporations, and civil society do in order to find common solutions for climate change. This policy brief proposes to explore how climate diplomacy can contribute to deeper cooperation between countries of the Mediterranean and propel a stronger relationship between its citizens. Climate diplomacy gives not only the chance to establish new connections and dialogue channels but the capacity to respond to common threats and combine efforts, in addition to focusing on the possibilities that a resolution could bring for the countries concerned.
Ariadna Romans i Torrent evaluates in this paper what is exactly climate diplomacy, what literature is available on the topic, and also what can be learn from the different case studies that can be applied to the Mediterranean region. |
