Abstract Cerebral venous sinus thrombosis (CVST) is the most severe and most common presentation of vaccine-induced immune thrombotic thrombocytopenia (VITT), also known as thrombosis with thrombocytopenia syndrome (TTS), a rare adverse drug reaction reported after severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARSCoV-2) vaccinations. VITT is based on antibody-mediated immune response which causes platelet activation and wasting, and results in thrombocytopenia and thrombosis. This thesis focused on epidemiology, clinical manifestations and treatment of CVT after SARS-CoV-2 vaccinations.
