The article "Common Frame of Reference and Social Justice" by Martijn W. Hesselink evaluates the Draft Common Frame of Reference (DCFR) of social justice. It discusses the important areas, namely a common frame of Reference in a broad sense, social justice and contract law, private law and democracy, Neo liberal or social-democratic underlying values and principles, the protection of weaker parties, and role of good faith. The author concludes that the draft Common Frame of Reference has all the characteristics of a typical European compromise.
