| Abstract |
The studies presented in this thesis provide new insights into the diagnosis, treatment, long-term outcomes, and cardiovascular risk assessment of children and young adults with FH. The findings emphasize the importance of early detection, timely initiation of LLT, and lifelong treatment adherence. Furthermore, this thesis highlights emerging opportunities for personalized medicine, advanced vascular imaging, and family-based screening strategies. Finally, the growing understanding of Lp(a) and the development of novel LLTs offer promising perspectives for further reducing the burden of premature ASCVD in future generations of patients with FH.
