| Abstract |
The Article conceptualizes the impact of the principles of effectiveness and effective judicial protection on private law adjudication at both the European and the national level, and discusses how such “general principles” should be concretized in horizontal disputes vis à vis the distinguishing characters of European private law as well as the requirements of interpersonal justice.
