This thesis focuses on the de-escalating opportunities and modern innovations improving surgical management of differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). The overall aim is to contribute valuable insights for refining treatment strategies of patients with differentiated thyroid cancer, promoting personalized care, reducing treatment related morbidity, and aiming for a better quality of life of patients. The results of thesis highlight the evolving landscape of thyroid cancer treatment, emphasizing the shift towards de-escalation and its associated benefits. It provides substantial evidence to support a de-escalated approach in managing low-risk DTC.
