Abstract De wereldwijde kredietcrisis en de daarop volgende schuldencrisis in Europa hebben duidelijk gemaakt dat de rol van de financiële sector cruciaal is voor de analyse van macro-economisch beleid.
Beleid dat structureel ingrijpt zodat op korte termijn de vermogenspositie van de banken herstelt (herkapitalisatie), schept mogelijkheden voor budgettair stimuleringsbeleid
