| Abstract |
Psychoda surcoufi, a mothfly of compost, new to the Netherlands (Diptera: Psychodidae) Psychoda surcoufi Tonnoir, 1922 is reported as a new species for the Dutch checklist. Adults were collected in large numbers in a compost barrel from late February until April 2009, together with P. albipennis Zetterstedt, 1850 and P. erminea Eaton, 1898. In summer and autumn, another mothfly species, Clogmia albipunctata was found in the same compost barrel. At other locations, P. surcoufi specimens attracted by artificial light were collected on summer evenings. |
