Abstract This survey was conducted among the parents of fifty-two children with severe dental anxiety, who were between the ages of six and eleven years of age. Results showed that parents consider the dentist to be the sole source of their child's dental anxiety. Personality and/or environment are unconnected to their child's fear, in their opinion.
