| Abstract | Particle size is an important factor in determining catalytic activity. The low sintering rate of ceria-supported transition metal particles maintains smaller particle sizes and thereby also catalytic performance. This sintering resistance was recently found to result from strong metal-support interactions with defects and terraces on the ceria surface. |
