| Abstract | Working with samples from Le cercle rouge (Jean-Pierre Melville, France, 1970) and its trailer, this essayistic piece contrasts sounds and dialogue snippets at different speeds. In doing so it reframes the film’s sounds to highlight the deceptive, ominous nature of the situations experienced by the main character Corey (Alain Delon). |
