Abstract This paper presents a corpus research on quotation in Russian Sign Language (RSL). We describe basic constituents of quotative construc-tions in RSL and analyze prosodic markers of quotation. In addition, we describe the differences in marking of direct and indirect quotation. We specifically focus on comparing our findings to similar constructions in other signed and spoken languages.
