Abstract
Using holography it is possible to write down the dissipative hydrodynamic behaviour of a boundary field theory which describes a non-conformal fluid. It is also possible to write down the evolution equations of the two-point correlators for the various field present within the cornerstone field theory in the AdS/CFT correspondence.
Studying out-of-equilibrium phenomena in this way might lead us to discover the process of , among other things, black hole formation/evaporation. Studying black holes had proved a vital ingredient in searching for a unifying theory of quantum mechanics and general relativity.
