Abstract This article studies the degree of transparency of A’ingae, a language isolatespoken in Colombia and Ecuador. It closely follows Hengeveld & Leufkens (2018), an article that applies a set of parameters to establish the degree oftransparency of a broad sample of languages, in order to establish a transparencyhierarchy. The current study shows, applying these parameters to A’ingae, thatthis language neatly fits into the hierarchy and belongs to the more transparentlanguage type.
