| Abstract |
Building on earlier work by the Amsterdam ACLC research group Comparative Slavic Verbal Aspect & Related issues, this paper looks into what might be termed a "by-product" of taxis research on Slovak: connective items of temporal 'since' and their interaction with tense and aspect. Other than similar conjunctions in Dutch (sinds, sedert) and English (ever since, since) Slovak equivalents may appear in constructions with a future deixis. Extensive corpus searches (Slovko) to date yielded 12 examples with present-perfective forms in both main and secundary clause. These are presented and scrutinised in this paper.
