| Abstract |
This article gives an introductory descriptive overview of the vowel system of the dialect of the Scots language formerly spoken in Fowlis (Wester), Upper Strathearn, Perthshire, Scotland. The author conducted fieldwork there with the last speaker of this dialect in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
