Abstract We report on the near-infrared Ks band observations of the field containing the currently active faint neutron star X-ray transient SAX J1806.5-2215 (Atel # 3193). Following the current X-ray outburst of the source, we obtained observations in the near-infrared Ks band on March 23, 2011 at UT 12:24 using the WIYN High-Resolution Infrared Camera (WHIRC) mounted on the WIYN 3.5-m telescope located at Kitt Peak, Arizona.
