| Abstract |
This paper fills a gap in the literature by consolidating existing literature on food insecurity in the Sahel region. We explore the literature by considering the four primary characteristics of food security, namely; food accessibility, availability, utilisation, and sta-bility. We further examine three crucial factors impacting food insecurity – climate change, conflict, and COVID-19 - as identified by the UN. This paper aims to provide researchers with an inter-disciplinary perspective to build decision analysis systems through multidimensional exploration. We discuss the contributions as well as the limitations of this research. In general, our literature review also contributes to global as well as region-specific food security goals |
