Abstract A new bis-quinolizidine alkaloid, xestosin A (1), possessing cis- and trans-quinolizidine nuclei, has been isolated from the Papua New Guinean sponge Xestospongia exigua. The structure was determined by spectrometric and single-crystal X-ray analyses.
