Abstract
This report documents the reconstruction of the Roman villa based on archaeological fieldwork and interpretation, research into parallels and source materials using state-of-the-art sensor techniques, such as GPR, drone photogrammetry and LiDAR data. The villa, named ‘Horta da Torre’, is located in the territory of the major Roman town Emerita Augusta, Portugal, Municipality of Frontreira, near current locality Cabeҫo de Vide, and is an object of study in the Frontier Landscape Project (FLP) coordinated by T.D. Stek (Leiden University, KNIR) and A. Carneiro (Évora University), whose research project is funded by Prins Bernhard Cultuurfunds and is provided with working permissions in Portugal thanks to the 4-annual research plan FRONTAGER V directed by AC.
