| Abstract |
In Chemistry – A European Journal, Næsborg and co-workers have demonstrated a simple protocol that overcomes oxygen sensitivity in triplet-sensitized [2 + 2] photocycloaddition. A sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS)-based micelle is used to trap oxygen within the core while photosenstizer [Ru(bpy)3]2+ and the substrate are pre-organized within the Stern layer. Unwanted quenching of the triplet excited photosensitizer is thereby prevented. |
